Ancient city Sanchi is important Buddhist
pilgrimage city, famous for stupas, monasteries,
temples and pillars, dating back to era of 3rd
century BC and 12th century. The important aspect
is that at Sanchi there is no figure of Lord
Buddha as he is expressed in symbolic manner such
as wheels and empty throne etc. Fascinating site
