Know About amazing world of wildlife found at Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary Canacona Goa

Established in 1969, covering an area of 86 sq. km, Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary is located in most scenic region Canacona of Goa state. Sanctuary is multi-storied forests, natural habitat for wide variety of flora and fauna and quite ideal place for long romantic walks by the couples on honeymoon. Forest department is providing limited accommodation facility for which well advance booking is essential. Watching the wild animals from 25m-high treetop watchtower is exciting experience. If you are highly adventure lover and brave enough Forest Dept can provide cots and mosquito-nets for stay inside the sanctuary and enjoy dense forests, perennial streams, and picturesque surroundings. Cotigao sanctuary is the second largest sanctuary in Goa, for which Talpona River is serving as water source.
